Hand, hand, hand over hand!

A bottle of Old Jamaicy - O.

The sailor likes the judies - O!

The lassies o' Pool, the lassies o' Tyne,
A chowlah so fine and dandy-O!

    So early in the morning...

Tobaccy - O, tobaccy - O,
The sailor likes tobaccy - O!

    So early in the morning...

"Hand over Hand/ The Sailor Likes His Bottle - O!" - szanta fałowa, którą Simon stosował z powodzeniem na szkunerze gaflowym "Pioneer". Po kilku pociągnieciach i wyczuciu ciężaru gafla, stabilizowało się tempo wybierania fału. Niekiedy do "wypompowania" fału stosowano krótki zaśpiew: "Oh, Mary...". Dzieło kończył okrzyk: "Belay!" (Obłóż!).
